Two sides sign agreement to officially launch the service

Dubai, November 14, 2016:  Emirates Post Group and Sri Lankan Consulate in Dubai have signed an agreement under which the former will handle the delivery and collection of passports and visas from the consulate.

The agreement was signed by the Sri Lankan Consul General H.E. Charitha Yattogoda and Acting Chief CEO of EPG, Mr. Abdullah Al Ashram, at EPG head office in Dubai, in the presence of senior officials from both sides.

Mr. Abdullah Al Ashram commented: “We are delighted to add Sri Lankan Consulate to the list of diplomatic missions outsourcing their courier requirements to us, based on our track record of handling courier requirements of consulates and embassies.   As a federal organization, EPG offers highest levels of confidentiality and security, which are key factors any diplomatic mission takes into account while awarding courier contracts.”

After signing the agreement, H.E. Yattogoda said: “We are delighted to enter into a partnership with Emirates Post Group’s courier service to handle our requirements of collecting and delivering passports and visas. We are confident that EPG will provide secure, confidential and efficient services to Sri Lankan nationals and other nationalities coming to our consulate for consular services, because of its vast experience and expertise in handling important and sensitive documents.”

Building on its reputation as a reliable provider of efficient and confidential services, EPG now handles the collection and delivery of processed documents from many consulates to customers. Depending on the type of agreement signed, EPG devotes dedicated teams to individual consulates.

Handling the complex mailroom requirements of diplomatic missions involves intricate logistics and meticulous planning. EPG has an edge over its competitors in this field because of its huge postal network, proven expertise and integrated courier services.
