UAE, 10 June, 2016- The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) recently received a high level delegation from the Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA) to review the best practices at the Centre of Digital Innovation (CoDI). The TRA presented to the ADFCA delegation, headed by Hamad Zayed Al Mansoori Training and Development Section Manager in ADFCA, CoDI’s departments including a smart library which has a collection of more than 150,000 electronic titles on culture, science, technology and engineering. The group was also shown the centre’s interactive simulation theater which showcases smart solutions in areas such as health, education, engineering, science and astronomy, among others. Engineer Majid Al Madhloum Program Director of TRA mGov Centre of Digital Innovation Center (CoDI) confirmed the importance of this visit as an opportunity to present the experiences of CoDI and best practices being implemented in the center. He pointed out the importance of coordination and collaboration with organizations in the country in term of experiences and exchange practices to develop new ways for innovation and creativity. He said that the center looks forward to present its experience with them in the UAE. “This visit provides an opportunity for the TRA to share its experiences and achievements for the concerned sectors and help them explore the available and possible services that we may provide for them, including for their specific needs. Each sector has their unique mandate and requirements, which are different from other sectors. The visit has also expanded our horizons when it comes to collaboration with other government entities in providing the best customer service that ensure total happiness and satisfaction based on quick responses to transactions,” Al Madhloum added. During the visit, ADFCA reviewed the best practices in mobile applications and the programmes that help the aeCERT teams in their decision-making. They also viewed screening library applications and reviewed techniques as well as how to troubleshoot any issues or loopholes in the system. The delegation commended the TRA’s efforts and confirmed the importance of collaboration in order to facilitate the finding of solutions to challenges in customer service, how to formulate innovative solutions, and consequently increase the UAE’s global competitiveness.
