Precor Football Club, Dubai’s top community youth football club, has just landed increased backing for the 2015-2016 season, with TCFnewswire, the region’s only optimised news content agency, and Fitness HQ, a top-tier entrant to the gym circuit in Dubai, signing on as sponsors for the season. Following a strong performance over the last season - recently the youth football team placed among the top 16 teams at one of the world’s largest youth soccer tournaments, the Dana Cup, and scored big at the region’s premier men’s open-age amateur football tournament, the Dubai Amateur Football League (DAFL) - Precor FC is now gearing up for the next season. Speaking about the new sponsorships, Tarek Khalifa, chairman and member of Precor FC’s coaching team, said: “In addition to other eminent corporate sponsors, TCFnewswire and Fitness HQ’s endorsements are yet other valuable feathers in the cap of the Precor FC. These sponsorships inspire and invigorate the players and it shows in their game. We are proud to be associated with TCFnewswire and Fitness HQ.” Precor FC’s growth marks an achievement for what started as a community athletic initiative - the team is wholly managed and coached by members of the community and focuses on providing equal opportunities to young talent. “These youngsters show outstanding drive and promise, and we support excellence wherever we find it. Our sponsorship of Precor FC reflects our belief in the team and in the international talent living in the UAE,” said Ali Al Tamimi, Owner and Managing Director, Fitness HQ. Simon Brown, General Manager at Fitness HQ, added: “At Fitness HQ, we believe in facilitating initiatives that steer the younger generation in the UAE towards a fitter, healthier tomorrow. We are proud to offer our support to Precor FC, and respect the hard work and dedication these young players have shown so far.” The Precor FC consists of several youth teams that compete in various competitions and leagues in the UAE and globally. The teams, under-14, under-16, under-18 and under-21, represent players from 30 different countries. The teams are coached by a highly certified FIFA and UK FA British coaching team, and are managed by Tarek Khalifa, who serves as voluntary club chairman. Layth Dajani, Founder and CEO of TCF, the organisation behind the TCFnewswire, commented, “This initiative is a window for talented players within the UAE to hone their skills, play the game competitively and gain international exposure. We look forward to helping budding athletes explore their potential to the fullest and scale new heights.” Tryouts to make the teams are held every Saturday during the season where young talent is invited to showcase their physical and mental skills in an effort to make the Precor FC teams. Players who do not make the teams can train in Precor FC’s Football Excellence Program and strive to work to make the team. “We run Precor FC as an amateur club where we train our players who strive to achieve first-team status. And as a community driven club, we encourage kids to continue training even if they don’t make the initial team during the tryouts. Everyone is welcome to play,” concluded Khalifa.
