- Prize worth AED 70,000 given away everyday through the ‘Sweet’ app -

Dubai, United Arab Emirates - 5 October 2015: While TVs and smartphones may have been on Denzil Melcolm’s mind when he visited the 25th edition of GITEX Shopper, the lucky 25-year-old visitor to the region’s biggest consumer IT and electronics show left with much more - a AED 70,000 worth of gold thanks to the ‘Sweet’ app daily draw. All visitors spending AED 500 or more at the show are eligible for the daily prize draw with a half kilogram of gold given away every day. To participate, visitors need simply to upload their invoices on the ‘Sweet’ app, easily downloadable on both iOS and Android devices.

“I am delighted to be one of the eight lucky winners to win a half kilogram at GITEX Shopper; I can’t express my feelings after winning this valuable prize. My initial thought is to sell half the gold to buy jewellery for my mother and sister, and to save the other half for the future,” said Denzil.

GITEX Shopper 2015 runs until Saturday, 10th October and is open from 11:00am - 11:00pm every day. Tickets are priced at AED 30 per person and are available at the venue and at select Emarat outlets and entry is free for children below the age of five. A promotional entry ticket price of AED 10 is available for students pre-registered in groups over 50. Entry is free for children below the age of five.
