Dubai, June 4, 2015: Al Tayer Motors, the UAE’s official importer-dealer for Jaguar and Land Rover, has been ranked the world’s largest by volume for both the iconic global automotive brands among 2674 dealers in 170 countries. Premier Motors, the official dealer in Abu Dhabi, has placed second.
The impressive achievement for the dealership comes on the back of strong sales growth performance. Al Tayer Motors recorded a 29 per cent increase in sales for Land Rover and two per cent for Jaguar. Best-selling nameplates included the Range Rover with sales up 61 per cent and Jaguar F-TYPE with sales up 82 per cent in 2014-15 over the previous year.

The award was presented by Dr. Ralf Speth, Chief Executive Officer of Jaguar Land Rover to Mr. Saeed Humaid Al Tayer, Managing Director of Al Tayer Motors at a ceremony held at The Meydan Hotel in Dubai.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Speth complimented Al Tayer Motors on the win and said, “The sales successes, investments in world-class infrastructure and excellence in customer service have led to this phenomenal accomplishment. We congratulate the team at the dealership and look forward to many such achievements in the future.”
The dealership also received the ‘MENAP Importer of the Year’ accolade for an unparalleled fourth consecutive year, as well as the Customer Service Excellence awards for both brands for the second time in a row. The best overall Importer of the Year trophy is awarded to the partner that delivers outstanding performance across all areas of the business in the MENAP region.
Continuing with the success, the dealership’s Sheikh Zayed Road showroom has also been ranked the world’s number one for Jaguar as well as Land Rover sales ahead of other leading facilities in Kuwait, Qatar, China, Russia, USA & the UK.
Al Tayer Motors and Premier Motors launched the all-new Land Rover Discovery Sport in December 2014 and the first deliveries of the vehicle have already commenced. The dealership will shortly launch the Jaguar XE - the marque’s next all-new vehicle after the F-TYPE.
Al Tayer Motors’ Jaguar and Land Rover showrooms are located in Dubai, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah. Land Rover and Jaguar vehicles are available through Premier Motors’ showrooms in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.
