Ajman University: Inspiring Visit to Pangyo Techno Valley, Korea

7 January 2015: Senior Management delegation of Ajman University headed by Mr. Osama Salman, Vice-President Ajman University visited Pangyo Techno Valley (PVT). This Science Park being one of the biggest in Korea is a complex of buildings spanning over thousands of square meters, which house research and development in the arenas of information technology, biotech, cultural technology and fusion technology.

Mr. Osama Salman elucidated that, “Ajman University Science Park in a bid to ensure that Science Park in Ajman will be par excellence in all its right visited the Pangyo Techno Valley, the facility and infrastructure are creating a global synergy by integrating IT (Information Technology) and BT (Biotechnology) benefiting Korea and the world at Large”.

The delegates received a warm welcome by Mr. Jong Lim, Manager PVT and Mr. Inji Choi, Manager of Entrepreneurship Centre, they were given a comprehensive tour of the facilities and briefed upon the practical layout of the infrastructure.  The site has direct researching facilities, research developing facilities, and university-related researching facilities.

The Pangyo Techno Valley aims to be a hub of technology in Korea and has already invested around 5.27 billion USD and the site encompasses guest houses, dormitories, a specialized graduate school, and public support center, which includes entrepreneurship center, supporting start-up companies. The tour was very inspiring and the delegated benefitted from the detailed meeting wherein the delegates exchanged knowledge and expertise about Science Park and Entrepreneurship Center.

The graduates when embarking on their professional journey at the end of their tenure with Ajman University are well equipped with the skill sets that provide them with a lead in their respective fields.
