In it’s efforts to enhance and strengthen bilateral trade in the IT sector with UAE,  Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council (ESC ) has been initiating several efforts including hosting a large IT delegation from UAE  at INDUIASOFT 2015 an international IT Exhibition & Conference scheduled on 12 & 13 February, 2015 at New Delhi.

ESC has been facilitating Indian participation on  a regular basis  at GITEX to take advantage of the booming IT market in the Gulf and leveraging that association for getting businesses for Indian IT companies from multitude of large global corporations, which are executing projects in the region,” says Mr Kamal Vachnai, Regional Director, Middle East, ESC.

INDIA IT SHOW, India’s premier IT event, which is supported by the Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Govt. of India will have many new facets. Innovation and value addition to software solutions are the main thrust of the show, where around 150 Indian IT firms will display their cutting edge solutions and products.

•    A very high growth in exports of electronics hardware from India to Middle East countries during 2013-14 is observed.  Middle East Countries have become the top destination for India’s electronics hardware export during the year 2013-14.  It is estimated that electronics goods export to Middle East Countries during 2013-14 is valued at US$ 1738 million up from US$ 1630 million estimated in the year 2012-13 registering a growth of 6.66 percent.

•    Amongst the ME countries, UAE is the top destination for India’s electronics export followed by Saudi Arabia and Turkey.

•    Export of software and related services to Middle East has also registered an excellent growth of 11.74 percent. Export of software and services increased from US$ 1852 million estimated in 2012-13 to US$ 2069 million estimated in 2013-14.

•    India’s total export of electronics hardware during 2013-14 is estimated to be US$ 7664 million and that of computer software and services is estimated to be US$ 84009 million.

•    Indian Electronics and IT exports were to the tune of USD 92 billion in 2013-14 up from USD 84 billion in 2012-13. We feel that in March 2015, Indian Electronics and IT exports will cross USD 100 Billion (IT will be to the tune of 97 USD billion and around USD 8 billion will be Electronics Hardware).
