Changing its location from Le Méridien Al Aqah Beach Resort to the Tennis & Country Club, Fujairah, the Al Aqah Fun Day in the City was celebrated on December 12th, 2014 from 12noon onwards. The annual fun day event is an initiative to create awareness and raise funds for a good cause while bringing together families for a fun-filled experience. Sponsored by Emirates, Al Shamsi Roca and Aati Contracts, the proceeds of the Al Aqah Fun Day in the City will go to the following charities: Rising Sun, The Angel Appeal, and Road to Awareness. Families at the Al Aqah Fun Day enjoyed live music, the region’s most delicious food counters complemented with a selection of beverages. Sports activities and entertainment for all ages included, Rodeo bull, Tug-O-war, spaghetti eating competitions, bouncy castles, sack races, auction for dunk tank & even a best cake competition. The turnout included a large community of vibrant families from Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Fujairah, who enjoyed a winter Friday while helping raise funds for a cause. Apart from the fun and games, participants also took part in a raffle draw and the Grand prize was a 3-night stay on bed and breakfast at Le Meridien Ile Maurice, sponsored by Emirates Airlines, a constant supporter of the Al Aqah Fun Day.
