Schneider Electric Announces Joint Venture with Arab Development to form Oil and Gas Energy Management Company

Dubai-UAE: 11 November, 2014 - Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy management, today announced its joint venture with Arab Development to create a company focusing on energy management. 

The announcement came during ADIPEC 2014 that is underway at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. 

The agreement was signed by Benoit Dubarle, Country President-UAE, Oman and Pakistan from Schneider Electric, and His Excellency Yousef Al Nowais, Chairman and Managing Director, Arab Development, in the presence of senior management from both entities. 

Arab Development is a leading national and commercial agency and joint venture partner offering commercial representation, co-investment and consultation to oil, gas and petrochemicals industries within the UAE. The strategic agreement will leverage Schneider Electric’s market expertise in electrical distribution and energy management as well as Arab Development’s understanding of the UAE market to offer customised and quality solutions to the oil and gas sector.

The 17th edition of the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC) has drawn around 1,800 exhibitors, 60,000 regional and international attendees and more than 600 speakers. Schneider Electric’s sustainably-designed stand at Hall 4, Booth 4230 is showcasing the company’s suite of safe and smart oilfield solutions. The event runs until 13 November, 2014.
