Come on in, we're open! Nando's returns from its renovation vacation

Dubai, October 16th, 2014: A good neighborhood restaurant is as much about the locale as it is about the food. Nobody knows this better than Nando’s, the world’s much-loved Afro-Portuguese, family friendly restaurant. That’s why, the restaurant undertook an extensive refurbishment of its outlet in The Greens, so that it could offer its patrons a unique mix of wholesome food, comfort and cheer.   

The renovation, carried out by reputed interior design company Keane, features low ceilings indoors, which create a cosy atmosphere; a full-length dining terrace looking out onto an open, landscaped garden area, that allows customers to enjoy the mild Middle Eastern climate during the cooler months; and foldaway doors that help merge the terrace and indoor seating areas to create one spectacular airy space.

We’re thrilled to open our doors again to this vibrant community,” said Nando’s UAE COO, Dinesh Acharya. “

As a tribute to its roots, the décor of Nando’s is heavily influenced by South African textiles and patterns, which are offset against characteristic, warm, reclaimed timber, stone and textured plaster finishes, capturing the very essence of the rich South African culture. 

The space is very colourful, featuring quirky artworks, which have been sourced from South Africa through the Nando’s Artworks Initiative; fun accents of colour can be seen in the upholstery as well. Finishing touches, such as ambient jam jar, feature lighting, decorative suspended timber rafts and 3-dimensional clay work - all add warmth and character to the space, ensuring that customers will feel right at home from the minute they walk in.  

The Greens outlet is situated on the ground floor in Al Turia Building. It offers dine-in, take-out and home and office deliveries in The Emirates Living and Tecom areas everyday between 12pm- 11:30pm.
