Dubai, United Arab Emirates - October 15, 2014: Samsung Electronics has revealed a new addition to its flagship Galaxy Note series with the launch of the limited edition Galaxy Note Edge. The device was launched as part of the Galaxy Note 4 World Tour in Dubai. Taking the mobile experience to the next level, the Galaxy Note Edge features a one-of-a-kind Edge Screen which offers users a totally revolutionary way of accessing information and engaging with their mobile device. The Galaxy Note Edge’s unique curved Edge screen provides quick access to frequently used apps, alerts and device functionality - even when the cover is closed - all with the swipe of a thumb. The design of the device also enables users to receive notifications directly on the Edge Screen while watching videos without disturbing their viewing. 'Since the first Samsung Galaxy Note was introduced in 2011, the Galaxy Note category has been a success in the Middle East region. The revolutionary design concept of the Galaxy Note Edge makes everyday tasks and multitasking easier and more efficient, echoing Samsung’s consumer-centric approach that catapulted the Note to success. To reduce the chances of the device being dropped, Samsung’s designers carefully considered where to place each icon. For example, the camera shutter button on the Edge screen is located in the middle rather than the bottom for easier use. Additionally, the front edge of the curved screen lies flat between the upper and lower bezel to protect the screen and ensure it is raised up above whatever surface the Note Edge is lying on. The Edge Screen also helps users express their personality and tastes by allowing them to design their own Edge Screen with their favorite images and text, including those composed with the S Pen. Additionally, useful tools, such as ruler, stopwatch, timer, flashlight and voice recorder, can
