34th edition of ICT Showcase Features Cutting-Edge Innovations, Solutions and Products from Top Local, Regional and International Technology Brands Dubai, United Arab Emirates: His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, toured GITEX Technology Week today, getting a glimpse of the UAE of the future at the 34th edition of the leading Information and Communication Technology (ICT) event in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia (MEASA). His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan experienced first-hand dozens of cutting-edge products, solutions and innovations that will roll-out across the UAE’s schools, offices and public spaces as the Emirate homes in on its immediate and long-term Smart City objectives. His Excellency toured dozens of stands and spoke with officials from the world’s leading technology brands including Microsoft, Oracle, Cisco, Ericsson, Huawei and SAP, as well as local Government stands and others operated by regional ICT firms. More than 100,000 ICT professionals from 150 countries are expected to visit this week’s GITEX Technology Week, which has attracted more than 3,700 companies from 61 countries.
