IEEE - Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineer, have chosen Engineer Tazeen Sharif as the IEEE UAE Section Ambassador from amongst 4000 IEEE members based in United Arab Emirates. She is a source of pride and inspiration for Ajman University for she is a graduate of College of Engineering wherein she is currently employed as a Lecturer.


Eng. Tazeen has been bestowed this title for her “creativity, dedication and contribution to IEEE and WIE (Women in Engineering) community” stated the official correspondence. Her commendable and relentless efforts in ensuring the best in practice and academics of engineering are adhered to by Students and herself. Her academic knowledge and prowess for scientific achievements give her the outstanding agility to both receive and deliver the best.


45 ambassadors are chosen from 400,000 members across the world to represent IEEE in their designated sections. Their tasks include leading discussions in conferences, creating effective forum for idea and innovation exchange, conduct seminars, workshops and webinars along with the formation of new student chapters.

Dr. Fahr Hayati, Dean, College of Engineering expressed his pride, “We are proud of our Colleges’ daughter - Tazeen. She is the ideal representation of an outstanding and hardworking student whose passion for engineering did not waver even after graduating. Today she inspires her students with the same fervor of achievement. Her achievement is Our achievement. She is not only IEEE section UAE ambassador but AUST ambassador to the engineering world”.

It is worthy to note that recently one of her papers paper titled, INTEGRATION OF ENGINEERING EDUCATION AND RESEARCH WITH COMMUNITY SERVICE, has been published in The Journal of Advances in Human Science, Economics and Social Study - AHES 2014. This research work has been chosen for publication from over 150 papers presented at a conference in Thailand.
