Abu Dhabi-UAE: 30 June, 2014: ADNOC Distribution has announced that all of its service stations across the UAE will offer dates and water throughout the holy month of Ramadan to help motorists and visitors  break their fast during Iftar.

An outcome of ADNOC Distribution’s priority to ease the tension of individuals who are unable to get home on time for Iftar, the initiative also articulates the company’s efforts to reduce over-speeding and consequential road accidents that are often the norm during the hour.

Khalid Hadi, Vice President - Marketing and Corporate Communications, at ADNOC Distribution, said: “At ADNOC Distribution, we endorse the values of compassion and care that the holy month of Ramadan exemplifies. In our commitment to cultivate practices of social solidarity and corporate responsibility, we invite all motorists in the vicinity of our service stations during the Al Maghrib prayers to enjoy some respite at the end of their fasting period.

“We also urge drivers to stay safe and refrain from over-speeding during the Iftar rush hour as it can only lead to traffic accidents and put their own life and that of the others at risk, apart from causing damage to public property.”

As part of its efforts to spearhead social development activities, ADNOC Distribution plans to implement diverse community initiatives especially during the month of Ramadan.
