Abu Dhabi’s highly competitive tennis tournament for the 9th Year at the Beach Rotana Abu Dhabi Abu Dhabi, 29 April, 2014 - Beach Rotana Abu Dhabi hosted its annual tennis tournament, following the success of previous years. Beach Rotana transformed into the Wimbeldon Championships of Abu Dhabi, and offered the public a chance to enter into Abu Dhabi’s largest public tennis event at Bodylines, leisure and fitness club. The annual Tennis Open took place on the 10th to the 26th of April 2014. The tennis tournament has become an annual event attracted the GCC region including players from the Doha Tennis Academy from Qatar. Tennis enthusiasts has joined and participated in the 16 day tournament. The highly competitive sporting event has gained national momentum and has attracted more attendees and talent each year playing for cash prizes and crystal trophies. The grand finals of the Tennis Open were held on Saturday 26th April at the Beach Rotana. After several weeks of hard hitting action, the winners who reign supreme were Neuza Silva, ex-professional WTA player for the Ladies’ Single category, and runner up was Nancy Fouzy, and for the Men’s Single we had Mahmoud Nader with runner up was Hamad Al Janahi, both players of the UAE National Team.
