Tina Turner tribute is Simply the Best!

Tribute to ‘Queen of Rock N Roll' at Millennium Airport Hotel in Dubai; with big hair and denim jacket, impressionist Niqi Brown is ready to ‘Break Every Rule'

Tina Turner fans will be making their way down to the Millennium Airport Hotel Dubai on Thursday 27th February, as impressionist Nicola ‘Niqi' Brown, plays tribute to the ‘Queen of Rock n Roll'. 

Performing on the hotel's recently expanded Terrace which can now cater for events up to 1,000 people, Brown will be belting out some of Tina Turner's early disco hits such as ‘Nutbush City Limits' right the way up to her later rock anthems ‘Private Dancer', ‘What's Love Got To Do With It' and ‘Simply the Best'.

“Part of Niqi's appeal is not just her uncanny resemblance to Tina Turner, especially with the ‘big' hair, denim jacket and trademark stilettoes, it is her formidable voice and her style of dancing,” said Simon Moore, General Manager, Millennium Airport Hotel, Dubai.

‘She's a fantastic entertainer, she can be dynamic, full of energy one moment and soulful and emotional the next,” added Moore.

Niqi Brown is a talented singer and song writer, who can boast not only singing as back up for groups such as Destiny's Child, Madness and The Wailers but also teaming up Corrine Bailey Rae has also had her dulcet tones featured on ‘The Oprah Winfrey Show'. Brown has travelled extensively with her tribute act, performing at many top theatres and cabaret nightspots throughout the UK, Middle East, The Caribbean and South America. 

Born Anna Mae Bullock in Nutbush, Tennessee, Tina Turner now 74 years old, shot to fame in the sixties and early seventies with husband Ike. After divorcing him in 1978, Turner launched her solo career in the eighties and eventually found global success with the ‘Private Dancer' album in 1984. She has sold over 100 million records, was awarded eight Grammies and sold more concert tickets than any other solo performer in history.

Entry is free but seating is limited and it will be a first-come, first-served basis, with barbeque packages starting from AED 250 per person which includes selected house beverages.
