United Arab Emirates, Dubai, January 21, 2014: Dubai Health Authority ( DHA) and Trakhees, (a division under the Ports, Customs & Free Zones Corporation) recently signed an agreement to unify the standard of transactions of facilities and individuals who are willing to undertake healthcare investments in the subsidiary developmental areas of Dubai Ports, Customs and Free Zone Organization. The agreement was signed at the DHA's headquarters by H.E. DHA Director-General Eng. Essa Al Hajj Al Maidoor and H.E. Arif Obaid Al Dehail, CEO of Trakhees. H.E. DHA Director-General Eng. Essa Al Hajj Al Maidoor stressed on the importance of this agreement, which reflects partnership between the various Dubai Government entities, in line with the continuous population growth in Dubai, and the expansion of investment and trade activities. Al Maidoor said that the DHA is keen on providing highest quality of healthcare services in Dubai, while continuously developing these services and increasing efficiencies by enhancing the hospitals and healthcare centers in the Emirate. Al Maidoor expects this agreement to be the culmination of joint efforts made to raise the standard of healthcare services at the Emirate's level, as well as bolstering investments and building investor trust in the field of healthcare. He explained that, as per this agreement, the DHA shall issue a No Objection Certificate ( NOC) for the required activities and the monitoring of personnel and public health facilities operating in the healthcare sector, which have been licensed by Trakhees in the special development areas, with the exception of free zone areas. H.E. Arif Obaid Al Dehail, CEO of Trakhees said that this agreement comes as part of the system guaranteeing cooperation and cohesion between the various entities of the Dubai Government, with the aim of providing the best healthcare services and enhances access for customers living in Dubai's special development areas. Al Dehail also said that the agreement also aims to solidify the concept of investing in Dubai's healthcare sector, especially in the special development areas, taking into account the highest international standards.
