United Arab Emirates, December 10, 2013- Jumeira Rotana opened the holiday season with a Christmas tree lighting event together with Special Needs Future Development Centre and Abbott Nutrition. The event began with the hotel carolers' performance while the guests enjoyed the pass around snacks, traditional Christmas Yule logs and drinks. The guests started the countdown to Christmas at this sparkling event with the arrival of Santa Claus which created a truly merry festive ambiance. This year, Jumeira Rotana designed a winter Christmas theme; a combination of blue and silver ornaments with snowy effects for its Christmas tree. To demonstrate its concern and commitment to corporate social responsibility, Jumeira Rotana Hotel chose to celebrate this event with Special Needs Future Development Centre. Dana Hlavnova, general manager of Jumeira Rotana commented, “Christmas is giving and Christmas is the time to spread the happiness to all and we know that with this humble event we somehow will be able to share it with these children.” SNF students were all amazed to see the man in red and were so excited to receive their gifts courtesy of Abbott Nutrition. “I am very thankful to welcome the SNF to partake to this event and a big thank you as well goes to Abbott Nutrition for supporting us and sponsoring the gifts that I am sure kids will truly like. I also like to thank and congratulate my Jumeira Rotana team for arranging this event, well done to all!” she added. Sana Masroor, fund raising coordinator of SNF commented, “It's nice to know that students with special needs are accepted in the society and events are now being organized to make them feel special. SNF has always strived to achieve this for young adults with special needs who lacked such acceptance and faced discrimination. Today, it is fulfilling to see how organizations like Jumeirah Rotana have come forward and gone out of their way to join hands with our students and make them a part of them.”
