Deluxe property to enhance overseas marketing drive for Expo 2020 TAMANI Marina Hotel, one of Dubai's top-notch deluxe properties and the winner of 2013 World Luxury Hotel Award, has been in the forefront of a variety of social and humanitarian programs under the framework of its unique TAMANI Cares initiative launched in 2009. In line with its vision and mission, the hotel participated in blood donation and can collection programs in addition to breast cancer awareness campaign and also sponsored the Clean Up the World campaign organized by the Dubai Municipality recently. Walid Al Awa, General Manager, TAMANI Marina Hotel, said it has been the endeavor of the hotel management and staff to be a significant player in the socio-economic development of the emirate while maintaining the participation in social, environmental, humanitarian and religious programs. The hotel has participated in the Ramadan Forum organized last year by the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM). Joining the celebrations that marked the 42nd UAE National Day and winning of the bid to host Expo 2020 in Dubai, the hotel displayed two huge UAE flags at the entrance of the property and distributed to guests and visitors chocolate bars with UAE flag and Expo 2020 logo and slogan. He said the Expo 2020 will help the tourism industry in general and hospitality sector in particular to solidify the businesses in the coming years. The hotel, he added, will be increasing its promotional and marketing activities overseas to tap the immense growth opportunities that this prestigious global event will bring to the country. The event is expected draw more than 25 million visitors, 70 percent from outside the UAE and Dubai authorities expect Expo 2020 will generate US$23 billion between 2015 and 2021.
