Dubai, United Arab Emirates, November 26, 2013: Acer Middle East and Africa announced that David Drummond, Country Manager for Southern Africa will take up the position of Vice President, Middle East & Africa effective immediately. The Middle East and Africa presents a tremendous opportunity for Acer.
With David's over twenty years of experience , in-depth leadership and wealth of customer relationships we are confident that he will lead Acer to become the preferred brand in that region whilst directing the organization to achieve business success in a competitive market by building and developing the sales organization and business development capabilities in the region. Drummond, has a long standing relationship with the Acer brand after his success and rapid growth of the business as Country manager Southern Africa 2003 - 2007, and has recently rejoined the company in the role of Country Manager for Acer Southern Africa. This announcement will see Drummond continue as Country Manager for Acer Southern Africa whilst taking on the roles and responsibilities of the new Acer Middle East and Africa Vice President. In addition to this announcement, a business restructuring has been formulated and without delay was completed by the Acer Middle East & Africa management team.
