Existing prepaid customers who register their lines using their Emirates ID can now enjoy 60 minutes of free local and international calls to 175 destinations. More than 25 Fulfillment Centres set up at popular shopping malls to facilitate registrations. Open 7 days a week during 10 am – 10 pm Dubai, UAE, 23 November 2013: du has launched an exciting free minutes promotion to boost its campaign to register all customers before the deadline. This promotion was created by du in line with its commitment to the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA)'s ‘My Number, My Identity' campaign. All customers will have until January 16, 2014 to register their mobile numbers. Customers who fail to register within the deadline will get their lines disconnected. In order to speed up and make the registration process more convenient for its customers, du will setup more than 25 conveniently-located fulfilment centres across prominent shopping malls in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah. Manned by du's friendly and helpful staff, the fulfilment centres will ensure the registration process a hassle free one. “We are delighted to be launching this promotion – which aims to incentivise our customers to register their mobile numbers with their Emirates ID card,” said Fahad Al Hassawi, du's Chief Commercial Officer. “Through this initiative, we are proud to be supporting the TRA and its efforts to protect customer interest and ensure utmost customer satisfaction. To avoid any inconvenience of disconnection I would like to, once again, urge our customers to please register their lines through our du Shops and authorized partner outlets or our fulfilment centres,” he added. To get the free 60 minutes customers just need to bring their prepaid lines that they want to register along with their valid Emirates ID to any of the fulfillment centers, du Shops or registration partner locations. After successfully registering their prepaid lines using their Emirates ID via the card readers in the registration outlets, customers will be notified by du as to when the free minutes will be added to their accounts. To be able to use the free minutes, customers will need at least 1 AED of prepaid balance on their account. Customers can use the free minutes within 7 days after being activated on their accounts for national or international calls to 175 destinations.
