Dubai, United Arab Emirates - July 14, 2013 – (ME NewsWire) With the 2013 edition of the UAE Cancer Congress drawing closer, this year's meeting continues with the theme of promoting excellence in oncology through multidisciplinary care of patients suffering from cancer. Following feedback from last year's attendees, the 2013 congress will consist of top regional and international faculty such as Hope Rugo, USA, Edith Perez, USA, Pierfranco Conte, Italy and HamdyAbdulazim, Egypt. This year's sessions will focus heavily on practical case studies and interactive debates providing an excellent platform for participants to meet, network and share their expertise with peers from around the world.

The congress has developed several partnerships this year with American Hospital, Dubai and the 1st Indian Cancer Congress, a merger of the top four oncology associations in India - Association of Radiation Oncologists of India (AROI), Indian Association of Surgical Oncologists (IASO), Indian Society of Medical and Paediatric Oncology (ISMPO) and Indian Society of Oncology (ISO) to promote growth through collaboration and reach out to professionals in the field across the region and internationally.

The Head & Neck Master Course returns for the second year with participation from various societies such as Korean Head Neck Society, Japan Society for Head & Neck Cancer, Indian Cooperative Oncology Network and Pakistan Head Neck Society. There will also be dedicated sessions for cancer nutrition, breast surgical oncology, GI oncology, lung cancer and breast cancer. The Oncology Nursing Program also returns with dedicated tracks for nurses and will focus on the knowledge needed to enhance skills to care for patients. Sessions will also explore the oncology nurse's role in implementing best practices and advocating for their patients and their profession in order to provide the highest quality nursing care.

Several grants are available including a limited number of travel grants for delegates from low income countries to attend the congress and research grants for ongoing investigations.
