Dubai Festival City marks the Official Opening of Dubai Summer Surprises 2017 Dubai, UAE, 27 June 2017: To officially launch Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS), Dubai Festival City in partnership with Dubai Tourism is hosting a free concert on Saturday July 1st, with Iraqi superstar, singer and composer, Waleed Al Shami. Shoppers will have the chance to see Waleed ignite Festival Square with a breathtaking repertoire of his hottest hits. Steven Cleaver Director of shopping Malls, Dubai Festival City said: “We are excited to host Arabic icon, Waleed Al Shami and visitors will be treated to a free concert in celebration of the opening of DSS, set to mark what will be, one of the biggest Dubai Summer Surprises yet.” Additionally, from the night of Waleed’s performance throughout the period of DSS, every shopper will get the chance to ‘Shop.Pop.Win’ via a fun virtual reality game to land an array of prizes, from spa packages, gift vouchers, cinema tickets, and even a new 2017 Lexus RC F. From July 6th until August 12th visitors will also get the opportunity to play in the region’s biggest ever indoor Confetti Dome and capture the special moments on camera and for social media, in Festival Square.
