Emiratis graduate from Tawteen Course Dubai, UAE - 20th December 2016: Mashreq, UAE’s leading financial institution has further extended its commitment to developing the careers of UAE nationals in the banking sector. The bank has announced that 6 UAE Nationals have successfully completed the Customer Service Excellence Diploma developed in conjunction with Ministry of Interior and Human Resources Authority in Abu Dhabi - Tawteen under Absher Initiative. The Diploma Graduation Ceremony was conducted in Abu Dhabi Armed Forces Hotel in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior. Mashreq had signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Presidential Affairs under Absher Initiatives in 2013, an initiative that aims to attract 500 unemployed Emirati’s over a period of five years. The initiative is in line with Mashreq’s commitment to empower Emiratis to become the future leaders and help them find suitable job placements. Commenting at the graduation ceremony Mariam Al Ali, Head of Emiratisation & Government Relations said, “Mashreq strongly believes that as a leading financial services provider in the UAE, it has a duty to nurture Emirati talent among its employees. To date, we have employed and trained 500 UAE nationals in line with the Absher initiative which has exceeded our original projected target. At Mashreq, we believe that investing in our people is the key to success and that by investing in talented and ambitious Emiratis, we can make anything possible.” Mashreq provides a variety of training and mentoring programs, through ’Mashreq Learning Systems’, targeting to provide Emiratis with the right tools and development to achieve their goals. The total number of UAE National staff trained in 2016 reached 262 including 554 staff trained online.
