Real estate constructors behind The Sustainable City successfully turn vision into reality Dubai, UAE, January 14, 2016: Diamond Developers is using the forthcoming World Future Energy Summit 2016 to showcase the first tangible steps in sustainable living for the region. The real estate constructor behind The Sustainable City - the region’s first fully integrated sustainable community - has a 300-metre stand at the ADNEC exhibition and will be using the platform to reveal the benefits enjoyed by the families now making their homes in the newly-opened Dubai smart development. Faris Saeed, CEO, Diamond Developers, said: “There could not be a better conference than the forthcoming World Future Energy Summit to highlight what is a new era in sustainable living. Diamond Developers is participating at the event to highlight the host of advantages that an ecologically-friendly lifestyle brings; economically, socially and environmentally. The families that have moved into The Sustainable City within the past month mark the start of true sustainable living for the region and this official opening of the community is a benchmark that has turned a vision into a firm reality.” Spread over five million square feet, The Sustainable City was specifically designed to have a focus on three pillars of sustainability; economic, environment and social. The community features a raft of initiatives to both conserve resources and save money, including energy efficient home design and use of eco-friendly building materials. Every aspect of The Sustainable City has been designed to benefit residents economically, from its revenue-sharing scheme’s net zero service fees to its wealth of employment opportunities. The development places a priority on nature, green spaces, health, education and recreational activities, with the emphasis on nurturing a sustainable lifestyle within a cohesive community. The Sustainable City’s new tenants’ homes are located in Phase One of the development, which contains 500 villas, 11 biodomes located in the productive farm, a community mall, and an equestrian center, which will be fully completed this year.
