• Dubai committee for ethics on scientific research to focus on latest methods and processes of medical research.

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, December 27, 2015: In line with the directives of His Excellency Humaid Al Qatami, Chairman of the Board and Director-General of the Dubai Health Authority, the DHA will focus on implementing latest procedures and policies to develop modern methods of scientific medical research.

The recently formed Dubai Committee for Ethics on Scientific Research, will focus on studying and implementing latest processes for scientific medical research. The committee will also  foster and encourage medical professionals in Dubai to support and conduct research with an aim to further develop healthcare.

The committee will be headed by Dr Sohail Al Rukn, head of stroke unit at Rashid Hospital.

The committee will meet on a regular basis and provide support to all medical professionals in Dubai who are interested to conduct medical research. The committee will discuss, evaluate and encourage the use of phases in clinical research to ensure better quality of clinical research. Phases in clinical research are the steps in which scientists do experiments with a health intervention in an attempt to find enough evidence for a process which would be useful as a medical treatment.
