Exquisite fabrics and richly detailed designs in a winter palette dominated by neutral colours, such as tobacco and caramel, highlighted with touches of bright green, Yves Klein blue and magenta. Bouclé effect mohair and cashmere juxtaposed with denim and scuba-jersey print create an interplay of contrasting fabrics, warm and sensual to the touch but high-tech and contemporary at the same time. Wool garments combine masculine-inspired patterns, such as Prince of Wales check, with ultra-feminine textures such as lace and plush yarn.
Versatility is the buzz word, with slightly egg-shaped coats and capes for the new silhouettes. The must-have for this season is the 70’s - inspired skirt in all styles - high-waisted, pleated, print or Lurex, but strictly midi. Trousers appear to be stolen from menswear, with darts, well-ironed pleats and turn-ups, perfect for partnering with a one-button blazer or biker jacket. This Autumn/Winter the capsule collection is underpinned by a pencil skirt plus one-button blazer, slightly oversize T-shirt and little dress. The colours? Intense: from midnight blue to black and white, via amethyst. MARELLA SPORT Dynamic and practical are the key notes for the Marella Sport Autumn/Winter collection. Subtle, delicate shades such as blush pink and camel become more vibrant in the colder months. Check, floral or striped prints give way to electric blue and the inevitable black. Key outerwear pieces in the collection include a faux fur cape, goose down and fabric mini-coat, luxury bomber jacket and a reversible quilted jacket (with detachable sleeves to make a gilet).
