Costa Celebrates Ramadan with Special Edition Artistic Cups

Prominent Regional Artists Majid Al Yousef and Wissam Shawkat Create Exclusive Calligraphy Design for #RamadanWithCosta

Dubai, UAE, June 16, 2015: Costa Coffee is wishing all coffee lovers a very special Ramadan Kareem this year with two exclusive, limited-edition artistic coffee cups. The beautiful cups have been designed by renowned regional artists, Majid Al Yousef and Wissam Shawkat, each bringing their distinct flair to their respective pieces.

The two specially designed Ramadan cups feature traditional calligraphy-inspired designs, showcased in each artist’s own style. Shawkat’s design is characterized by intricate swirls layered within each other, bringing to life his fascination with abstract shapes and letters. Al Yousef’s design combines his love for calligraphy and digital art, with wide letters and splashes of colour.

This Ramadan, Costa Coffee will also feature special items on the menu, including:

• Rose & Almond Latte: an aromatic, flavoured latte with flaked almond pieces
• Date & Toffee Pudding: moist toffee sponge cake made with finely chopped dates
• Basbousa: Semolina cake with coconut and rose water syrup
• Ramadan Cookies: a selection of freshly-baked cookies
