After Tokyo, Paris and Brussels, Omani artist Alia Al Farsi has her first solo exhibition in Dubai The Empty Quarter Gallery recently saw the opening of world-renowned painter, Alia Al Farsi’s first solo exhibition in Dubai. The Omani artist has previously exhibited in the art capitals of the world including Stockholm, Tokyo, Berlin, Shanghai, Abu Dhabi and Geneva over the past 20 years. ‘Preeminence’, Alia Al Farsi’s first solo show in Dubai presents a journey of works including some of the highlights of her career. Portraits form a major part of the current selection and showcase the artist’s spiritual journey with motifs reflecting her Omani heritage. Attended by key regional press, VIPs and the ‘who’s who’ of Dubai the exhibition was a success. Alia Al Farsi was also present on the evening where the art-lovers of Dubai got a chance to talk to her and ask questions to the artist directly. The event had an inviting and lively atmosphere with live music by an artist playing the nay while guests were served mocktails, canapés and other delicacies.
