Gold's Gym brings BodyART™ to the Middle East for the first time in a two-week demonstration

Asian inspired fusion of yoga and athleticism appeals to mind-body enthusiasts and hardcore athletes.

Gold’s Gym, the largest international gym chain in the world and a member of Al Ahli Holding Group in the UAE, has announced a two-week demonstration of the globally popular BodyART™ discipline that will see exclusive classes being held across the gym’s UAE branches. The showcase is the first step in pioneering the launch of BodyART™ across Gold's Gym branches.

BodyART™ was developed by German therapist Robert Steinbacher, and combines yoga and Pilates into a highly individualised experience. It relies on Eastern approaches of treating the entire body as one system, supplemented with a mentally holistic perspective. It is based on the principles of Yin and Yang, and the five elements. The training creates a dynamic between activity and passivity, tension and releasing. It effects and balances each participant’s individual needs while giving the experience of a tough but energising complete physical training session. Every exercise can be proved in an energetic, anatomic, muscular, organic and physiological way.

The BodyART™ classes will be held from October 26, 2014 to November 8, 2014, with the first taking place in Al Mussalla Towers, Bur Dubai. The showcase will be supported by highly qualified and certified Gold’s Gym instructors.

BodyART’s inspiration lies in yoga, but also includes TaiQi and Qi Gong movements. “The principle of BodyART™ is to never judge between good and bad movements because what is good for one person might be unsuitable for another.
