October 12, 2014: ELM, a leading provider of innovative electronic solutions and government support services, has officially launched its cutting-edge ‘ELM Cloud Service,’ a full range of cloud-based systems, at GITEX Technology Week 2014. The unveiling of the company’s latest innovative service in one of the Middle East’s largest information technology exhibitions comes amidst growth in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s cloud computing market. According to reports, local spending on cloud services is expected to increase 52.9 per cent this year. This new service reflects ELM’s strategic move to support the Kingdom’s expanding cloud computing industry.

‘ELM Cloud,’ which complies with the highest standards of safety, reliability and privacy measures, has been specially designed by ELM and its partners to support the Kingdom's e-governance plan, while also meeting the cloud computing needs of the government and private sectors. It is an integrated package of financial and administrative systems, human resources and procurement systems, and cloud e-services developed in accordance with best international practices. The service aims to minimize the operational costs and risks associated with e-services, save technical and manpower hours, and strengthen the capacity of government agencies to conduct technical updates efficiently and easily.

Mohammed Bin Abdulaziz Al-Omair, Executive Director of Electronic Services, ELM, pointed out that the 'ELM Cloud' aims to meet growing government and private corporate demand for cloud computing services given their strategic, financial and operational benefits.

“ELM is keen on cooperating with leading suppliers and consultants from around the world to provide the Saudi market with the best innovative solutions. Our offerings contribute to the further growth of the local sector as well as the entire Gulf market, which is poised to expand by 29 per cent this year to USD 118.5 million from USD 91.7 million in 2013. ‘ELM Cloud’ makes ELM the Middle East’s first provider of a Cloud Resource Planning System - one of the most distinctive features of the service. It has an integrated user-friendly application interface and high readiness capability that supports rapid application in Arabic according to the Umm al-Qura calendar. It can also be easily linked to other electronic systems and services that can be adjusted in accordance with government requirements. In addition, it provides high levels of reliability and confidentiality,” he added.

According to ELM, the ‘Cloud Resource Planning System’ is composed of five major subsystems, which includes ‘Human Resources and Payroll,’ ‘Employee Self-Service,’ ‘Financial,’ ‘Procurement,’ and ‘Inventory Control and Warehouse Management.’ All five work as an integrated system based on a common database that serves all departments and sections of government entities. This set-up ensures fast, effective and efficient management of information, documents, and human resources. By offering the innovative system under ‘ELM Cloud,’ ELM is able to demonstrate its firm commitment to provide the best cloud computing solutions and services that add value to the Kingdom’s government sector and business community.

“The 'ELM Cloud Service’ is positioned as a perfect solution, which can be attributed to its internationally accredited specifications that are available in the National Information Center in the KSA--thereby enhancing its level of security and authenticity,” concluded Al-Omair.

ELM is participating at GITEX Technology Week 2014 to launch its new service package which includes ‘ELM Cloud,’ ‘Eligibility’ and ‘Natheer.’ The three new services support the government’s efforts to deliver enhanced, accurate, fast and reliable services. The company is showcasing its extensive portfolio of advanced solutions and wide range of new services at Stand Number S2-A11 at the Sheikh Saeed Hall of the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
