DUBAI (September 2014) - For the eighth year running, Grand Hyatt Dubai celebrates the ever-so-popular Oktoberfest. It’s time again for steins, pretzels and sausages as Grand Hyatt Dubai invites you to enjoy authentic Bavarian traditions in our spacious air-conditioned festival tent. Feel like in Munich when entering the original Oktoberfest tent entrance and marvel at the Bavarian sky, a play of blue and white cloths hanging on the ceiling giving the feel of an open air venue. Known as “Wies’n”, Oktoberfest traditionally celebrated the marriage of Crown Prince Ludwig to the Saxon-Hildburghausen Princess Therese, when the citizens of Munich were invited to a five-day celebration in front of the city gates. From this special event, a cheerful gathering evolved, becoming the largest public festival in the world. Every Wednesday to Saturday, indulge in authentic German food and drinks prepared by Grand Hyatt’s culinary team, such as Weisswurst (white sausages), Hendl (chicken), Obatzda (spicy cheese concoction), Haxn (pork knuckle), Apfelstrudel (Apple Strudel), Kaiserschmarrn (German pancake) and many more. Be served by traditionally dressed waiters and waitresses completing the authentic atmosphere. Dance and sing along with the original Oktoberfest band from Munich, “Die Kirchdorfer”.
With a foot tapping melody and energetic beats, the band will perform this song live dedicated to the long-awaited festival.
