Abdulaziz Bin Humaid Leadership Program extends application window for one week to 7th June

Interviews conducted by ALP committee members will commence thereafter in June

The Abdulaziz Bin Humaid Leadership Program, a first-of-its-kind program that aims to empower talented young individuals with essential leadership qualities, has extended the deadline for applicants to its 2014/15 edition by one week, to 7th June.

As of 1st June, 165 GCC nationals - 96 men and 69 women - have applied for a place on the ALP. That number includes 51 applicants from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, 59 from the United Arab Emirates, 30 from Oman, 15 from Bahrain, and 10 from Kuwait. 

Faisal Al Nuaimi, Head of the committee at ALP said, “We are delighted that the ALP has attracted such strong interest from potential candidates thus far, and are extending the registration period to enable as many young GCC nationals as possible to take advantage of this unique opportunity.”

Application is open to all GCC nationals between the ages of 25 and 35 who have at least a higher diploma, a minimum of two years’ work experience, are currently employed and satisfy a minimal English skills standard. The Program will be spread over six months between September 2014 and February 2015, encompassing 180 direct learning hours - six hours per day for five working days per month.

The next step in selecting candidates will be the interview process, which will commence in June after the application window closes. Each interview will personally be conducted by two ALP committee members, lasting around 30 minutes per candidate. 

The ALP’s main sponsor is Ajman Holding, which consolidates the various large scale infrastructure and investment projects that contribute towards the Emirate’s economic, social and industrial development. A total of 109 candidates applied for the ALP’s pilot scheme last year. Of these, 78 were invited to complete interviews, and 61 passed through to the next stage. On 26 September 2013, following a psychometric test, 16 candidates were accepted onto the ALP - all of whom ultimately completed the Program successfully.
