United Arab Emirates, Dubai, May 4, 2014: His Excellency Engineer Essa Al Maidoor, Director-General of the Dubai Health Authority received a delegation at the DHA headquarters to discuss smart health. The delegation was headed by Micheal Pomerance, Vice President and Managing Director, Middle East and North Africa at Cerner. Both partiesdiscussed the possibility of collaborating in the field of smart heart, especially in the field of central data collection centre for public health.
They also discussed collaboration in implementing new technology including smart solutions, applications and innovative ideas that aim to provide enhanced customer satisfaction and convenience for patients and healthcare providers. Al Maidoor highlighted that the DHA is keen to continue adapting smart solutions in line with its strategy and that the DHA is presently working on several such initiatives which are divided into three main categories, smart operations, smart hospitals and smart applications. At the end of the meeting, Al Maidoor presented Pomerance with a memento of appreciation.
