Abu Dhabi Airport diversions Etihad Airways expects to resume normal operations later today, following flight disruptions caused by severe, unexpected fog at Abu Dhabi Airport this morning. Several hundred passengers who missed their connecting flights have been re-booked on flights this afternoon and tonight. More than 260 other passengers who have been re-booked on flights tomorrow have been provided with hotel accommodation. These delays are due to unexpected fog between 6am and 8am in Abu Dhabi, which caused fourteen flights to be diverted to other airports in the UAE. Today’s disruption, which will continue to delay flights for the next several hours, was beyond our control and we apologise to all passengers who continue to be affected.
