Tasweek with Inside Investor to accelerate smart business programs in Dubai as the first city

ABU DHABI March 16, 2014: Tasweek Real Estate Marketing and Development, a United Arab Emirates-based real estate and property firm,  with Inside Investor to organize “Smart living in a SMART City” in Dubai, California’s Silicon Valley and Singapore, Tasweek announced today.

The event will focus and showcase SMART technologies and innovations for real estate and other industries connected to SMART cities for SMART citizens. The areas covered will include communication, infrastructure, transportation and logistics, environmental management and electricity and it will underpin sectors in Real Estate, Finance, Automotive, Education, Healthcare, Telecom and Utilities.

The first event will be hosted in Dubai during 2014, and others will follow - in a bi-annual schedule - in California and Asia. The initiative aims at creating an ecosystem with stakeholders coming from the government, the private sector and citizens who will be using or developing SMART products. It will have elements involving the civic community developing apps for SMART initiatives prior to the event in Dubai and include partners from educational institutions and the entrepreneurial community to focus on human capital.

As a first step, the “SMART living in a SMART city” event in Dubai - will focus on smart human capital, infrastructure technology and investment, showcasing the best and most innovative tech products that have come out of the US, Middle East and Asia.The potential investment value is expected to reach up to 750 million UAE dirham’s (approximately 200 million USD).

“Our goal is to identify SMART products in real estate and related services in the Middle East, US and Asia that hold the most potential and bring them global,” says Tasweek’s CEO Masood Al Awar. He added, “The government of UAE has created the vision for 2021 and the future SMART city starts today in Dubai”.
