Expecting a Further 200% Growth in 2014 as Customers Quadruple This Year Dubai, United Arab Emirates: UAE's innovative Dial-A-Battery roadside battery replacement service has seen an unprecedented 200% growth throughout 2013, with customers more than quadrupling compared to the same period last year. Tying up with UAE-based giants like Emirates Airlines mid-way throughout the year, with a staff base of more than 75,000 employees, Dial-A-Battery has tripled its fleet of vehicles and continues to expand its staff in response to the interest seen throughout the year, according to its operations manager. “We saw as many as 800 installations per month throughout the summer, and we expected slower winter months but we continue to receive regular calls for rescue on a daily basis,” said Tahir Ali, Operations Manager for Dial-A-Battery. “Our database of clients quadrupled, and the number of calls coming from Emirates not yet serviced by Dial-A-Battery continues to increase, and we're always looking at expansion opportunities in the UAE and beyond,” Ali added. With the UAE's vehicle population standing at 2.2 million, and each car needing a battery change at least once every two years, more than one million automotive batteries need replacing on a yearly basis. “Dubai has recovered from the global financial crisis, and with mega-projects like the Dubai Expo in 2020 coming up, as well as regional events like the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, we're expecting the number of cars to easily triple,” Tahir commented. “We certainly expect at least 200% growth for 2014, and moving towards 2020 and 2022, with continued team expansion, we're looking at a minimum of 2000 installations per month during peak periods.” Dial-A-Battery will double the number of technicians serving Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Dubai, as well as expand its call centre team to accommodate the growth. The novel Dial-A-Battery service provides those drivers with a superhero-the-the-rescue scenario, where all that is required is to dial a toll-free number – 800247365. The customer's order for a new vehicle battery either to their home, office, or roadside location is simply confirmed by text message to a Dial-A-Battery operator, who then sends the request to the dispatch team. Each dispatch vehicle is equipped with new batteries, state-of-the-art battery testing equipment, tools and analysers, while future plans for the service include tracking software that allows Dial-A-Battery operators to pinpoint the callers' exact location and delivery time, After completing the replacement process the customer is supplied with a warranty card and an invoice for the service. Arabic and English speaking operators are on hand to assist customers and a feedback call will be made after each delivery to evaluate and improve the service.
