Dubai, UAE: July 29, 2013: Gold's Gym International (GGI) Dubai stretches out their helping hand to ‘Mission Sonapur'; the charity campaign that initiated on June 20, 2013 to support the blue-collar construction workers residing in Sonapur. The campaign is now viral on social media with contributors from UAE donating basic amenities like food, clothing and other supplies to improve the quality of their life during this holy month of Ramadan. Two lecturers of an International Dubai-based university spurred the charity campaign under the tagline “Make Life Worth It” to give back to the labourers, who have given their sweat and blood to the sprawling and magnificent city, Dubai. Having heard of this remarkable instigation, GGI stepped forward to offer their support, and will be gifting caps, water and power bites to all 200 workers residing in Sonapur. Expressing his gratitude to the campaign and to all the labourers, Gold's Gym international, Chief of Operations, Nitesh Seebran said, “Gold's Gym is proud to join this charity campaign and expresses our heartfelt thanks and deep gratitude to the people who built this city.” The month long campaign ended on July 25, 2013 and the commodities contributed by generous donors will be delivered to the labourers on August 2, 2013. This initiative taken for good cause is a huge success with the support shown by contributors in donating daily consumable items of huge quantities, essential for the workers.
