Dubai, United Arab Emirates, August 20, 2020: The Dubai Health Authority(DHA) has completed the comprehensive developmental work of the Surgical Intensive Care Unit at Dubai Hospital and has increased the capacity of the unit. The move is in line to meet the increasing demand of the service and aims to provide high-quality patient care keeping the comfort and privacy of patients in mind. All necessary protocols, design, functionality and environment required for a surgical intensive care unit to provide healthcare professionals with the most efficient functionality and design have been taken into consideration. The unit also has the latest cutting-edge technologies and equipment. Each patient has a separate room equipped with the latest technology to ensure privacy. The surgical care unit now has a capacity of 13 beds for adult patients. During his inspectional visit yesterday to Dubai Hospital, H.E. Humaid Al Qutami, Director General of the DHA was provided with an overview of the development and expansion work of the unit. Al Qutami said, “The expansion and developmental work is in line with our strategy to provide the highest quality of patient care, enhance patient comfort and privacy as well as provide the medical staff with latest technologies, equipment, hospital workflow and design support.” He added that the DHA spares no effort in serving people, providing high-quality patient-centered care to ensure the health and well-being of the population.
