Dubai, June 8, 2017: Western Union, a leader in global payments, launched its ‘30 Days of Better’ campaign to coincide with the holy month of Ramadan. In line with Western Union's vision of 'Moving Money for Better,' the campaign is focused on fostering the spirit of positivity and kindness among people who make a difference. Now in its second year, ‘30 Days of Better’ promotes positive commuity engagement by creating conversations around self-reflection, family gatherings, charity, and spiritual enlightenment. Western Union will be encouraging these conversations across its social media platforms with themed discussions each week, as well as rewarding standout acts of goodwill among the community. To recognize consumers, Western Union will reward My WUSM members for any transactions they make during the month. From 20 May to 25 June 2017, My WU members can log into MyWU.com to participate in the promotion for a chance to win up to 750 My WU points and/or e-vouchers worth up to AED 25,000. To encourage the spirit of giving during Ramadan, Western Union will also reward individuals through radio competitions on City 1016 and Al Arabiya 99.0 FM stations. The company is asking individuals to call in with their suggestions of how they would use AED 1,000 to help someone in need. Two winners will be selected each day throughout the month. Hatem Sleiman, Western Union Regional Vice President Middle East, said, “At Western Union, community engagement is one of our core pillars and through this year’s campaign, we want to recognise and reward heroes within society for their acts of kindness. Ramadan is a time of giving and even the smallest deed of kindness can contribute greatly to someone’s life.”
