Dubai, UAE, November 12, 2016: Walk 2016 is under the patronage of HH Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak and hosted by Imperial College London Diabetes Centre, the region’s leading diabetes one-stop-shop, and supported by the Health Authority Abu Dhabi. Photo 1: The UAE's largest walkathon, Walk 2016, celebrated its 10th anniversary today with thousands of people walking at Yas Marina Circuit to raise awareness of diabetes. The start line included senior officials from UAE's health sector such as H.E. Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Chairman of HAAD, Suhail Mahmood Al Ansari, Chairman of Imperial College London Diabetes Centre, Executive Director of Mubadala Healthcare and Ihsan Al Marzouqi, Mubadala Healthcare's Associate Director. Imperial College London Diabetes Centre, has engaged with over 1,000,000 people across the community in its ten years of operating. The Centre's executive team members at the Walk today included Dr. Saf Naqvi, Executive and Medical Director, Mazen Al Dahmani, General Manager of Al Ain; Shukri Abu Ata, Director of Operations; Rohit Gupta, Chief Financial Officer; Dr. Hawaa Al Mansouri, Deputy Medical Director and Dr. Farhana Bin Lootah, Specialist.
