It was a shining moment for BinSina, one of the UAE's leading chains of pharmacies, to be the country's first Pharmacy Retail Group to receive the ultimate prize in branding from The World Branding Forum.

BinSina along with two other UAE based groups, ADNOC Distribution and Dubai Duty Free won the coveted World Branding Award in recognition for the group's work and achievements. Being selected from over 2,800 nominated brands worldwide, winning the Award is truly an impressive achievement.

The World Branding Award gives BinSina international exposure and lays the foundation for its future plans to expand its frontiers worldwide.  

Mr. Zaid S. Al Khayyat, Managing Director and Mrs. Saleema Shurrab, General Manager received the award during the awards presentation that took place at Kensington Palace, the residence of the British Royal Family since the 17th century. Sulaiman Al Mazroui, UAE Ambassador to the UK, was amongst the selected dignitaries from across the globe.

Speaking of the defining moment Mrs. Saleema Shurrab said, 'It is a proud moment for the UAE on the whole. For us as a UAE based group we have inherited the country's national pride and vision, as always set our sight beyond the expected and strive to realize that vision. The customer is everything and ensuring their satisfaction means we think innovatively at every stage both in terms of our products and services.'

BinSina Pharmacy was recently awarded the Most Admired Retailer of the Year - Pharmacy & Healthcare in Middle east for the year 2016.

Speaking on the expansion plans of the pharmacy chain, Mrs. Shurrab added, 'As a first step we are venturing into Qatar. Work on our first outlet is progressing and we plan to go operational from 2017. In the near future we will be setting up operations in Saudi Arabia and by the year 2020 move on to the Indian Subcontinent which is one of the largest Asian markets'   

Established in 1965, the 50-year old leading pharmacy chain currently has over 78 pharmacies in the network, and its ambitious plans are to open 200 pharmacies by the end of 2018.

BinSina Pharmacy chain's brand image was further bolstered when it was recognized 4 times as a Super Brand by the UAE Superbrand Council.
