United Arab Emirates, Dubai, November 3, 2016: The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) hoisted the UAE flag to join the Flag Day celebrations taking place across the country. The annual occasion, which coincides with the anniversary of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s assumption of office as the leader of the country. It is marked with the flag being hoisted across all government departments and buildings across the emirate. This also comes in response to a special call by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to launch a nationwide campaign to celebrate UAE Flag Day on November 3. His Excellency Humaid Al Qatami, Chairman of the Board and Director General of the Dubai Health Authority, said: “Flag Day is an opportunity for Dubai Health Authority employees to reinforce our commitment towards the nation. It is a special occasion as it falls on the day of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s accession as President of the UAE. It is an opportunity to thank the wise leadership of the UAE. His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, launched a nationwide campaign to celebrate UAE Flag Day on November 3 as a sign of our love and commitment to the UAE. This day is an opportunity for us to depict our love for our country, abide by the principles of our wise leadership and strive to achieve excellence in our field of work so that we can continue to develop our country. We are proud of our country and its achievements.” Employees working at the DHA gathered at the DHA headquarters where the Flag Day ceremony took place. DHA hospitals and health centres also celebrated the occasion. DHA employees also put up the UAE national flag in their offices and the Flag Day celebration took place with much fanfare and enthusiasm.
