Swiss Ambassador visits Julphar

Dubai, UAE, October 19, 2016:  On Wednesday October 12th 2016 - welcoming an invitation by the management of Julphar, Her Excellency Ms. Maya Tissafi, Ambassador of Switzerland to the UAE, paid a site visit to the RAK-based head office of Julphar, the largest generic pharmaceutical manufacturer in MENA.

HE Ms. Maya Tissafi was welcomed by His Highness Sheikh Faisal Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of Julphar, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Faisal Al Qasimi, member of the board, and Dr. Ayman Sahli, Chief Executive Officer.

During her meeting, HE Ms. Maya Tissafi was briefed on Julphar and had the opportunity to visit the Julphar Insulin and Liquid Orals plants. The 20,000 square meters Julphar Insulin plant, one of the most modern biopharmaceutical manufacturing plants, is designed for producing recombinant human insulin and insulin analogues crystals (rDNA) and has the capability to produce 40 million vials of insulin per year. The Liquid Orals plant manufactures liquid dosage forms using sophisticated, world-class equipment and is fully automated to produce syrups, suspensions and drops with minimal human intervention at any stage of the production.

The guided tour emphasized the importance of Julphar in the pharmaceutical industry, and was the opportunity for the company to showcase its latest development of business activities and operational innovations.
