Longchamp Unveils a Truly Natural Collection Ready-To-Wear Autumn 2016

The Autumn 2016 ready-to-wear collection Sophie Delafontaine designed is inspired by this paradox. Drawing her inspiration from the animal, vegetal and mineral worlds, she creates a new silhouette, both sensual and warm.

LONGCHAMP’s “Urban Nature” collection is dedicated to a multifaceted woman who combines unexpected and contradictory daily moments. It redesigns a sophisticated yet totally free feminine wardrobe with garments giving each woman a determined and almost feline look. This collection is a tribute to leather as the House’s key signature.

Several reversible coats combine city to nature, subtly playing on materials and colors. A sportswear nylon on one side and a printed rabbit fur on the other. The clash between a black lambskin leather on the front and a twisted ecru wool on the back is even bolder.

This very strong identity shows in many beautiful pieces, all crafted in velvet lambskin and sometimes embellished with fur patches which give the collection a unique and punchy style.

Other deep shaded calfskin leather items are adorned with a chevron pattern which turns into an always alive nature, tamed-like. The colors seem to sketch out the animal, vegetal and mineral worlds. The khaki reminds us of the bark of a tree, the camel evokes the strength of animals, whereas elegant gray-blue blotches borrow their strength from the stone. This highly feminine wardrobe features refined coats, zipped jackets and A-line-skirts.

And for the first time, LONGCHAMP offers evening models like velvet cotton cocktail dresses marked with a rhinestone-enhanced bamboo or a flowing blouse falling perfectly with transparent delicate silk sleeves.
