UAE Precor FC, Dubai’s top community youth football club, has just landed backing from Trust Capital, a financial intermediary regulated by the Central Bank of Lebanon. Trust Capital will sponsor, in part, Precor FC’s participation at the upcoming Gothia Cup, a Sweden-based international youth football tournament which each year draws over 1600 teams from over 80 nations. “The Gothia Cup is a high-profile international tournament which garners the participation of some of the best youth football teams from around the world. The boys have worked very hard to prep for this year’s tournament, and new sponsors such as Trust Capital coming on boards inspires and invigorates them to do even better,” noted Tarek Khalifa, chairman and member of Precor FC’s coaching team. This marks the fifth time Precor FC will be participating at the GOTHIA Cup. Last time round, the team reached round 16 of the tournament, remaining unbeaten throughout the qualification rounds, making it the first team from the Middle East to achieve this in the GOTHIA Cup Speaking on Trust Capital’s decision to support Precor FC, Youssef Khouri, CEO of Trust Capital, said: “We believe in bolstering initiatives that steer the younger generation towards a brighter tomorrow. The Precor FC players are determined to succeed, and our sponsorship reflects our faith in their abilities. We respect the dedication of these players and envision success for them at the Gothia Cup.” Kick-started as a community athletic initiative, today Precor FC comprises multiple youth teams that compete in tournaments and leagues within the UAE and around the world. The teams - under-14, under-16, under-18 and under-21 - represent players from 30 different countries, and are coached by a highly certified FIFA and UK FA British coaching team.
