Tickets to the World’s Brightest 5K night run are close to selling out this week Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Wednesday, 27 January 2016: A thrilling storm of music and bright lights is set to take over Yas Marina Circuit on Friday, 29 January, as the UAE capital plays host to the debut of Daman’s ActiveLife Electric Run. Thousands of Electric Runners will take to the start line as they unite to celebrate health and happiness with family and friends at the world’s most social night runs. Organisers have created a sensational 5K night run experience combined with exciting finish line celebrations for Electric Runners this weekend in Abu Dhabi. LED dancers, African drummers and other surprises will light up the course on the night. There will also be face painting, food and beverage vendors and the opportunity to take epic selfies along the course. “We are counting down to host Daman’s ActiveLife Electric Run for the very first time in Abu Dhabi this weekend” said David Sanderson, Race Director from event organisers Fast Track. “This 5K night run will be bigger and better than the Dubai event so if you haven’t bought your ticket yet you will have one last chance to buy them at the door when you come down to Yas Marina Circuit this Friday.” In addition to the ethereal experience on the 5K course, Electric Runners will be treated to unforgettable finish line celebrations like no other. Virgin Radio 104.4 and crowd favourite Kris Fade and DJ Lucy Stone will be hosting the post-run concert for the masses in the main festival area for what is set to be the most colourful party in the city this Friday. The vibrant and energetic untimed 5K gives people the opportunity to run, walk or dance through a kaleidoscope of neon lights and heart-pounding music through eight brightly themed lands. Moreover, organisers have made improvements to enhance the experience of Electric Runners this weekend. Improvements will include an additional water station on-event - one at the 2km mark during the route and a second station at the finish line. Everyone will also be able to bring in their own water and isotonic drinks to the event. This global event has toured 30 cities around the world including Los Angeles, Singapore, London and its memorable Dubai debut last November. Daman’s ActiveLife Electric Run will be taking place at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi where participants can enter through the West Gate (Gate 20), Festival Area gates open at 5pm, run start with the first wave at 7pm with DJ set start on stage at 8:30pm. Tickets are priced at AED 215 and are available on www.ElectricRun.ae, at any GO Sport store across the UAE and at the venue this Friday. Fans are encouraged to register themselves and their friends before all tickets sell out.
