UAE Drift King aims to remain master of his domain at first round of 2016 King of Nations World Drift Championship

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, January 27th 2016: Ahmed Al Ameri, lead driver of Al-Futtaim Motors’ TRD Emirates Drifting Team, will be going head-to-head with some of the world’s most accomplished drift professionals in the Emirates round of the 2016 King of Nations World Drift Championship, on January 28th and 29th.

Al Ameri, the first driver to win back-to-back Drift UAE Championships, securing titles in the 2011/2012, 2013/2014 and 2014/2015 seasons, will go up against 62 other drivers from Asia, Oceania, Europe, the Americas, and the Middle East, in one of the most exciting and challenging races to take place in the UAE, using his specially modified Toyota 86.

Commenting on his participation, Al Ameri said: “It’s always a great experience going up against drivers from different continents and with different schools of thought. It’s also exciting for the crowd to see different drifting styles unfold in a cloud of smoke and noise, and for the drivers it’s a fantastic learning curve that allows us to develop our skills even further by learning from some of the best in the business.”

Al Ameri will participate in the first qualifications round on January 28th, before taking part in the finals race taking place on January 29th.
