The Grand Millennium Dubai team was present in full force to take part in the 7th Annual Beat Diabetes Walk held on 20th November in Dubai. The 2 km walk was organised at Zabeel Park by Landmark Group to raise awareness about diabetes that is recognized worldwide as a growing epidemic. More than 17,000 residents joined the walk in Dubai. The event took place simultaneously across five countries in the GCC namely Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, UAE and Oman and included a number of fun-filled activities for the participants.The initiative advocates diabetes prevention and management by following three simple steps - Eat Healthy, Get Active and Take the Test.

Commenting on the campaign, Mr. Oussama Chalak, Resident Manager of Grand Millennium Dubai, said, 'Beat Diabetes Walk is a remarkable initiative to increase public awareness about the causes and possible prevention of diabetes by adopting a healthy lifestyle. Campaigns such as these encourage us to take proactive measures to overcome and manage the illness. As part of our CSR strategy we are committed to support any such causes in the interest of the well-being of our society.'
