Dubai, United Arab Emirates, November 30, 2015: Senior management and employees of the Dubai Health Authority observed martyr’s day to salute the martyrdom of Emirati heroes who sacrificed their lives defending the sovereignty of the nation in civil, military and humanitarian services.

The President, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, decreed that UAE will observe November 30, every year as Commemoration Day.

As per the schedule, at the DHA headquarters, at 8.30 am, the UAE flag was flown half-mast until 11.30 am, then silent prayers were observed and after the prayers, the UAE flag was raised full mast while the national anthem was played.

At the beginning of the ceremony,  H.E. Humaid Al Qatami, Chairman of the Board and Director-General of the Dubai Health Authority,  expressed his deepest gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, members of the supreme council and  rulers of the Emirates and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

Al Qatami and the DHA employees, expressed their heartfelt gratitude, appreciation and paid tribute to the martyrs.
